t is time in seconds. Any other name becomes a knob. With the groove on, f is played by the arpeggio and sets the key, and bpm follows the tempo. Greek names (beta, omega) and subscripts (f_1) show as symbols.
Melodies and layers: x is time in beats. Add ; p = ... after a formula and p plays it as a melody, in semitones above f (so p = 12*exp(-7*mod(x, 3/4)) - 12 drops an octave every dotted eighth). Two formulas joined by | play together as layers, with their knobs shared by name; the + on a scene layers it over the one playing. In MATLAB, a %% line starts the second layer.
Math: + - * / ^ %, sin cos tan exp log sqrt abs tanh floor fract min max mod clamp clip arctan, if(c, a, b), fib(n) Fibonacci, scale(n) degree of the minor scale in semitones, pick(i, a, b, ...) the i-th value, prod(k, 1, N, ...) a product, oscillators saw(x) sq(x) tri(x) with one cycle per unit of x, noise(), constants pi tau e, comparisons that give 1 or 0, and sum(k, 1, N, ...) for a series (up to 64 terms).
MATLAB: statements as in a script. f = 220; % 55..880 makes a knob with that range, other assignments are intermediate variables, and y = ... is the sound. .* ./ .^, % comments, sawtooth, square, rand, randn, mod, rem, sinc and ~= work as in MATLAB.
